High School Ski Trip, Feb. 15-16

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we are planning on having a high school ski trip with Young Life and all Trinity High School students are welcome! We are heading out on Feb. 15 in the afternoon to head up to Houghton Lake. There we will do some fun activities, eat dinner and hang out for the night. Then, on the 16th, we are getting up early and heading to the peaks at Caberfea for a great day of skiing. We will stay there for most of the day and then head back toward Midland on Sunday night (there is no school on Monday, so you don't have to worry about that)
If you are game and you (and possibly a few friends) want to go, get in contact with Jordan Palladino and turn in a $10 down payment to hold your spot. The total cost will be around $25 (we are still working out some details). This covers transportation, three meals and lodging. This does not include lift ticket, ski rental or food/drinks at the peaks. So, if you are down for a great ski trip, let me know. See you soon!

If you or your child is not on this list, I would ask you to please pray for this trip and that it is a great experience for all involved and that God may work in all of us. (also, you may stop reading)

So, if your child is on this list, I will need a few things from you.

1st, we are going to have a Spring Hill informational meeting on Feb, 9th at 5:00 at the youth         center, directly after Trinity Teens. I will answer questions and give everyone the rundown             of the weekend. Please try to make this work for your schedule.

2nd, if you or your student is no longer planning on attending, please let me know ASAP!

3rd, I am requesting that everyone has paid their full amount by the meeting on the 9th. If your                students name is bold, then I still need a payment. If the name isn't, then you are all set.                        Contact me for more info.

4th, some students do not go to Trinity, so I do not have contact info for them. If your student is                bringing a friend, please forward this to parents of non Trinity students if you know them, so      they can have this info too.

Health Forms
(last part I promise)
OK, so I hate to do this, but I do need updated health forms from everyone. Since it is the start of a new year and a lot of students are new to Spring Hill, I am asking that everyone fills one out for their students. I promise to keep them on file, so we won't have to do this again for awhile. You can find the health forms here
Also, please fill out a parent/guardian permission form for the event. Those are here,
Please fill these out and return them to the Trinity office or bring them to the informational meeting on the 9th

You also need to fill out an online sign up for spring hill camps. Follow the link here
- If you don't have a Spring Hill account, you will need to quickly make one.

That should be everything. If you have any questions, please let me know, and I will see you on
Feb. 9th. Thanks everyone!
See you soon!

Senior LYO bowling kickoff recap

Hey everyone,
We had a great time at the LYO bowling kickoff this past Sunday. Here are the great bowlers...

After busting out some great bowling (i won, just saying lol) we hit up the laser maze.

After that we hit up some McDonald's and called it a night. Thanks for coming out everyone. See you next week!

Trinity teens minute to win it recap

Hey!
We had a great time at the Trinity Teens Minute to Win It event. Here are some photos.

Game #1: Face the Cookie
Here is the crew excitedly watching the blueprint for the first game, face the cookie.

In this game, contestants must get a single cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands or letting it touch the ground.

Man those are some great action shots. After Josh S. took down the first game, we moved on to game #2...
Defying Gravity

In this game, contestants must keep 3 baloons in the air for as long as possible. The contestant who could do this the longest moved on to the finals.

Mitchell took down game number two, then it was time for game #3
Movin' on Up

In this game, the kids needed to move cups from the top of the stack to the bottom one at a time, but don't drop any...

After a very close final competition, Jacob M. came up on top!
Game #4
Separation anxiety
In one of my favorite games, students must separate a bag of m and m's by color into different cups,
one at a time..

I believe it was Cam who was able to stay focused and separate them the fastest.
Up next...

Game #5: Noodling around
In another great game, students must pick up 5 pieces of penne pasta with a piece of linguine pasta that they hold in their mouth.

In a very exciting finale, we had a draw between Mason and Haley!

And our final game
Game #6: This Blows

Heleyna was victorious in a game that consisted of blowing cups off of a table with a balloon that you repeatedly blow up.

After the epic games we met downstairs and we talked about the different faces we wear and how it is tiring to try to be many different people instead of who God wants us to be.

Thanks again for all of the middle schoolers who came out and made the event a blast. See you all soon!

Trinity Exam Cram Night: Sunday, Jan 19

Hey Trinity Teens and Senior LYO
Exams and tests are no fun. Does studying make you look like this?

And then this happens...

If this is you, take a break from studying and come to the youth center this Sunday from 6:00-8:00 pm.
We will have an exam cram survival packet for you and some much needed fun and activities. Or you may come and study, just in a different location to have a change of pace. Whatever works for you. We are here to help.Middle schoolers don't have exams? Come and study/hang out anyway!  People will be there to help you study as well. We will provide hot cocoa, pizza and snacks to keep you going. Come on out for a nice break from the madness of exams. Bring whatever comfy clothes you would like and good luck on those finals!
