Important Hang Time, Confirmation and Trinity Teen Details

Hello!

The school year is starting back up, so it is time to hang out for Trinity Teens!
(Also, starting confirmation class and Hang Time...I will get to those in a minute)

For those of you who aren't aware, Trinity Teens is the youth group that we run for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. We do all sorts of fun activities and games. I will send out details about each event as they come closer. This year, we will be having Trinity Teens on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 5:30-7:00 (directly after confirmation). I think this should make logistics a little easier for everyone, because students can just attend straight from class and parents don't need to make an extra trip to church. I will make sure to provide dinner and snacks every time we have Trinity Teens as well. If they are busy or have too much homework, feel free to just pick up your child after confirmation at 5:15.

This Thursday, September 17th, we are having the Trinity Teens kickoff! I will have games, prizes, there will be a gaga tournament and maybe one or two water balloons (so you may want to bring some clothes that can get wet...) All 6th, 7th and 8th graders are welcome to attend our kickoff party! The party will be right after confirmation class ends.
REMINDER: Only 7th and 8th graders have Thursday confirmation class in September. All 6th graders can attend the party, but come to the church at 5:30

In addition to Trinity Teens starting back up, we are going to hanging out for hang time on Thursdays too! Hang time is when all the confirmation students gather at the youth center to hang out for the hour after school and before confirmation class. I provide drinks and snacks. There is also a ride provided from Northeast and Jefferson Middle Schools to the youth center. The Trinity Church van (white, 15 passenger, says "Trinity Lutheran" on the side) will pick up kids at Jefferson, right after school in the parent pick up lot, and at Northeast in the bus lane after all the buses have left. If you child would like to get a ride, I need a parent permission form filled out. They are at this link
Please send one with your child on Thursday
(just 7th and 8th graders this time).

Also, I am looking for parents to help me out with hang time. All you would have to do is agree to be at the youth center from 3-4 to keep an eye on the kids. I am all set this Thursday, but need help the rest of the semester. If everyone who reads this email helps once, we would have enough helpers for the whole year. Let me know if you have a date in mind that you can help me out. I can't put on youth activities without your help :)

Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks everyone!
